Well, that wasn't pretty at all.
The Milwaukee Brewers dropped another 3-0 decision to the Atlanta Braves Monday and now trail, 2-1, in the best-of-five series.
The Brew Crew has only scored in one inning in the series— Rowdy Tellez's two-run homer in Game 1. They are a woeful 0 for 16 with runners in scoring position.
Milwaukee's batting averages are downright ugly. Leadoff man Kolten Wong is hitting .083. Lorenzo Cain is at .111. Christian Yelich is hitting .200. The team batting average is .176. The Brewers are last in hitting among the teams still playing.© Todd Kirkland, Getty Images It was another long day for Lorenzo Cain and the Brewers' offense.
Milwaukee's lack of offense was a hot topic on Twitter afterward. Here's a sampling:
Joc Pederson in this series: 3 for 3 (1.000), 2 HR
All starting position players: 28 for 151 (.185), 0 HR

Charlie Morton, Max Fried and Ian Anderson have combined for 17 IP, nine hits, two earned, one walk and 24 strikeouts through the first three games against the #Brewers. That's a 1.06 ERA. That's good. That's really good. #Braves— Kevin McAlpin (@KevinMcAlpin) October 11, 2021

The 1906 White Sox were known as "The Hitless Wonders". They batted .230 with 7 HR that year...but won the World Series, despite batting .198 against the Cubs. That White Sox team looks prolific next to this Brewers offense...— Dan Needles (@dneedles12) October 11, 2021
